  I can't take it anymore!

  my dad was recently made an elder about maybe 6 months ago, and now he is never around he's always at work or doing some kind of jw crap.

  now he conducts the watchtower study and is even doing the special talk tommorow.

  he's become an even more strict controlling jerk than he was before, and i'm never allowed to go out and do anything non jw related because he doesn't have the time.

  Cool Rebel 8 I like that, finger in pocket ! I do that when I'm driving or alone at the shop. The Mr. Bean movie when he goes to the US as an art gallery custodian has a good skit on him flipping off people when in a convertible, here it is !

  Wolfie I was an orphan and my uncle blew most of our inheritance through mismanagement. Made my brothers Tourette's way worst and lost over a 100 acres of paid for land my Dad left us with. I counted the days from 15 yo to 18, finally taking back control of my life. Hope this helps. Good suggestions above.

  Do it Keith, you singlehandedly opened my eyes that faithful sunny Saturday morning of April last year. I printed up your New Boy stories from Randall Watter's site and read them non stop outside my shop against the brick wall whilst sitting on a 5 gal pail with my sun glasses on and tanning. I knew then and there I had been taken for a ride and manipulated. Was a wonderful day to take back control of my life ! I was in the cult for a couple years and burnt out, waay too many demands and useless busywork. You helped me figure it out. Thank-you Mr. Keith Casarona.

  Right on Keith I logged in just to say YEAH go for it ! It's going to make for fine reading and you may very well help some people see the religious business cult inc. for what it really is !   ok so a car pulls up to the house and 3 eldurrs from my dads congo come up.

  they come in and have thee nerve to ask me to step out so they can speak to pops!!!!

  this is the good part.....pops says...and i quote " whatever needs to be said..can be said in front of my son".

  Assemblies - Before and After Waking Up

  happy friday to all!.

  i haven't been to a meeting for maybe 10 years.

  i only know what's happening nowadays from the experiences i read here or the internet in general.. anyway, on to the topic: i started attending meetings at the age of 7. as a kid, the only thing i looked forward to at the assemblies (circuit/district) was walking around veteran's stadium (philadelphia district convention) during intermission, hanging with friends, looking at girls (as i got a little older) and trying to have enough tickets to get pizza!.

  Last summer was my last assembly in Montreal at the big assembly hall in P.A.T. I felt exhausted and ill on the Sunday and promptly had a panic attack during the WT review with the drones on stage. It sounded like the satan worship in the movie 'Vanishing Point' I went to the bathroom to regroup and decided to never go back after that.

  The OP mentioned being a parking attendant, I did that once and was super polite and would wish everyone a nice assembly look them right in the eyes. Most were shocked ! hehe Typically they use young buff arrogant brothers looking for babes and oohhing and aahhing nice high en rides that they hope to commandeer off car lots at armaggedon.

  I took me a year to research and finally grasp what an evil lying self serving cult they are. Check out Ricky G's vid on the Ravn Guiliani story = mind blown ! As to how much of it is true you be the judge, nothing surprises me with these guys anymore. Look up her FB she spoke about it again a week or two ago, very smart articulate woman.
